|Import Permit requirement for import of Sugar
|This process represents the procedure for obtaining a permit to import controlled commodity (sugar) which is regulated and restricted.
|The permit applies to all controlled commodities and is issued in the form of a formal document (serialized with a prescribed format) and issued to licensed dealers/traders/manufactures. It is required to monitor imported quantities and is subject to availability of locally produced commodity and the trader’s premises’ full holding capacity. In some cases, the regulation prohibits the importation of a controlled commodity which is produced in Lesotho.
